My post today is a pic from the past. This one was taken in August of 2010. I had just got my new camera (Canon 5D Mark II), and I was very excited to take it to Blowing Rocks, a park in Florida near my sister Maggie’s home. In my excited state to capture this beautiful morning, I ventured out onto the slippery rocks and fell with my new camera. Of course, I was more worried about my camera than my leg. My sisters were surprised to see me bleeding on the rocks. I have many photos of this morning that highlight the amazing color and sunrise, but this one brings back some great memories and most importantly makes me thankful for my sisters. This thanksgiving, my sisters are celebrating in Florida (Please go to Blowing Rocks for me), and their absence makes me thankful to have such a wonderful family.

  1. I am also thankful for such a wonderful family. Only wish my two other chickadees were here to celebrate with us but glad they can be together.
